Mr. Roggers N. Cletus

Mr. Roggers N. Cletus is an esteemed alumnus of the Institute of Judicial Administration Lushoto, where he earned his Diploma in Law (DL) in 2010. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the same institute, a role he has held since May 2022. Prior to his academic appointment, Mr. Cletus worked as an Assistant Registration Officer and Regional Coordinator for Kagera at the Registration, Insolvency, and Trusteeship Agency (RITA).
Building on the foundation laid at Lushoto, Mr. Cletus pursued further legal education, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B, 2015) from Mzumbe University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP, 2018) from the Law School of Tanzania, and a Master of Laws Degree in Migration and Refugee Law (LL.M, 2020) from the University of Dar es Salaam. His postgraduate studies were supported by a prestigious scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), awarded to Tanzanians and Sub-Saharan African citizens.
Mr. Cletus’s areas of expertise include Citizenship Law, Immigration Law, Refugee Law, Labour Migration Law, International Commercial Arbitration Law, and International Humanitarian Law. He is also an Advocate of the High Court and subordinate courts in Tanzania and an active member of the Tanganyika Law Society. Alongside his academic duties, he is a seasoned legal counsel at Due Diligence Attorneys, a law firm based in Dar es Salaam.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Cletus was named RITA Employee of the Year for 2020/2021. He remains dedicated to his professional and academic pursuits, always striving to enrich the legal community in Tanzania.
